And it's surprisingly, you know, Waymo is saying they've done it with 40,000 first responders already, which is news to me.
2:26
Yeah, I think this is great news.
2:27
And I'm actually glad that Waymo and hopefully the other autonomous vehicle companies are providing this sort of training because this is a totally new realm of technology.
2:36
First responders need to know how to appropriately deal with these vehicles, how to pull them over, how to get information that they need from them.
2:46
I can imagine all sorts of situations where it would be necessary to stop these cars.
2:50
If somebody is having a medical emergency in the car, if the car causes a crash or a dangerous situation, or even if there's a first responder that's trying to get through, say, an intersection and the autonomous vehicle is blocking the way.
3:04
So to have first responders trained is going to make these interactions with the Waymos go much smoother, hopefully solve any issues that they do have with these vehicles.

8 MINS LATER

11:00
Because it seems like it could be a different situation.
19:25
Now, in terms of sort of Uber's side, is there anything sort of shaky about this on Uber's side that they could eventually, again, fight and say, well, this isn't airtight as far as this decision that was made?
19:38
Yeah, so the one thing is there is still time for Uber to try to get another hearing on this particular ruling.
19:47
They could go back to the Supreme Court and say, we want to have this ruling or this decision reconsidered.
19:55
it was a unanimous decision, so I'm not seeing much wiggle room there.
20:00
If they ask for reconsideration, I have to think that the Illinois Supreme Court will come down on the correct side.
20:08
But there are some limitations that this ruling does not address.
20:13
So This ruling, this Geller decision, is only about someone else's ride.
22:06
But just sort of overview of someone watching, what does this mean for families and what should they take away from it?
2:03
And the big part of this is the feds are saying it's OK to have an A.V., we just question your data the thing that we have been saying for a very long time
2:13
yeah i'm i'm really glad that the feds are getting involved in this and that they're just they're keeping their eye on the industry uh they i found it surprising you know their quote saying we really support this industry we really want to make sure that we're doing what we can to ensure that innovation and technology advance but at the same time we want to make sure that we're doing it in the right way so um That seems to be the right statement.
2:37
It seems to be the way that we would want our government to allow tech to move forward.
2:42
It's good for innovation.
2:43
It's good for the economy.
2:45
I hope that they come at this with some teeth and that this isn't just poking around and then they don't do anything about it and they acquiesce to Elon Musk and all the others without really demanding insight into the data demanding that the technology is proven to be safe.
3:08
So ultimately, I'm glad that they're doing this.

7 MINS LATER

9:50
was briefly blocking oncoming traffic and again to switch lanes to get around a few stationary cars again i like to cover the different stories of from how uber is handling autonomous vehicles to tesla and so here they are in london if you've been to london it's obviously tight crazy roads a lot of traffic um and there's you know they're still using a safety driver and as it says here it took over twice
7:37
He likes to swing on the tire outside and read books in the sunshine." Do you feel like this is something that it's accessible to all kids, or do you need to be that go-getter, getter personality?
7:49
So, no, I think that's a, a really great question.
7:51
And the way that I see the, you know, the workbook that I've created and the, the skills that I'm trying to teach is that they are applicable to everyone.
7:58
It, it's not just somebody who necessarily wants to run their own business at, at the end of the day.
8:04
There are little pieces of the entrepreneurial spirit that are relevant to everyone.
8:10
I- if you have an artistic kid, focus on the logo creating, focus on the construction of building a stand.
8:17
Um, if you have a, a child who is more interested in, uh, interpersonal relationships, focus on the marketing, the customer service, the advertising.

14 MINS LATER

22:34
Um, I wanna circle back to the businesses or business, I don't know if it's more than one, that you've created with your daughter because I know people would love to hear a specific example if you'd be willing to share.
