Brian, if you were opening your own store, what would you, what would you focus on?

Bryan RobertsGUEST
fairly quickly um if i if i had a blank piece of paper and a probably a limitless pot of money i would go after the food to go i think that's probably stating the obvious um i would go quite hard after world foods or you know ethnic grocery whatever you want to call it because i think um And there's a lot of misconceptions around that in terms of, oh, you need the right catchment for it.

Bryan RobertsGUEST
I just think there's, especially post-COVID, but also thanks to social media, the fact that everyone travels everywhere, there's kind of a great culinary curiosity that we have now in the country, especially younger shoppers.

Bryan RobertsGUEST
And they are all over the trends and things like Vietnamese or North African food at the moment is just on the cusp of breaking through.

Bryan RobertsGUEST
so i think it is that that would definitely be another another area um no and i think um i would be minded to go more for that leo really have the bare minimum for for take-home grocery and and go off to those more impulsive areas that the the more food for now maybe food for later as well and i really like what i see with some of the partnerships and concessions you see in things like frozen ready meals you know some of the dispensing solutions and so on but um yeah there's a very good reason that i'm not a shopkeeper um probably full of rubbish apart from anything but it's no it's um it's genuinely good questions i think you know it's easy for people idiots like me to pontificate about what we what we think and what we see but i think if i brought together all of the observations i gleaned globally on the convenience sector The direction of travel is very much towards hydration and thirst.

was just going to say, on your travels, Brian, what are the best uses of space that you've seen? Have you got any examples of where you've come away and thought, oh, that's a brilliant way to use space, whether big or small?
