... where she would have a place on the grounds of Versailles to go.

And so she built this.

It was kind of a strangely built house in that it had, uh, a huge bedroom, sitting room, all of that for her upstairs with adjacent rooms for staff and different, uh, events or different accommodations for people to be there, but be out of the way from being right on top of her so she could have her privacy.

But she had a vista out to the mountains, and it would just be done as kind of a little summer escape if she were not at the Cape or, um, on Nantucket.

Oh.

And, you know, left.

I never got the straight of all of that, but she had no identification.

'Cause she was running like nine households with full staff.

She's running a lot of houses with staff, and she told me with our first day of going to lunch, she said, talked about how badly off she was because Paul had left her so little money.

I mean, this is our first meeting in person.

It was just the two of us, and she said, "He only left me $110 million." [laughs] This is 20-something years ago, and I'm like, "You know, I could probably make do with $110 million." [laughs] But the longer I was there, you realize you have 3 or 400 people that are looking to you every week- Mm-hmm ...

for income, many of them for housing support.

I mean, you're keeping up a village of things in various towns.

Mm-hmm.
