Kim even recalls how fans wanted a piece of him, literally.

So what are you doing to prepare for this transition to the next, uh, let, let's just talk about the immediate seas- uh, the next year without having the ICE Macan?

Uh, it's gonna be tough.

I think, uh, [laughs] I think, I think the strategy across most dealers are gonna be increase CPO sales, used car sales.

Um, that's gonna probably hopefully fill some of the void of losing 30% of your retail sales.

But do you see a surge in pricing because if you want a ICE one, there's no more to be had?

I think that depends on the supply of the market.

Bruce Kim, who caught Fidrich in 1975 in Evansville and would become his personal catcher with the Tigers in 1976, recalls Fidrich's dominance.

There's a few things that made him really, really great.

He had two pitches well above average, his running, sinking fastball, was well above average, and then he had a slider that was well above average.
