Something's not right.

Yeah, well, you know, in our book, we tried, you know, one of the big questions, which is non-trivial, is if you're going to write about democracy, what is democracy? And there's lots of different views of what it is.

And a lot of what people feel about depend on what they believe it is.

We tried to very simplify, in a very simple way, explain what we thought it was.

We sort of adapted from Aristotle.

And he said, you know, democracy is basically self-governance by citizens.

But to put a sort of fine point on it, we said, you know, it's basically people having the freedom and equality to manage their own lives without a boss.

What exactly does that mean?
