Bronagh KeaneGUEST
Sometimes, like, sometimes people always think that, like, grinding is gonna be like full movement of the, of the jaw all the time, like kind of swinging off your face or whatever.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
But the, like there's two ways of looking at this, and it's grinding and clenching.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
And the clenching is gonna be when you're just like clamping your teeth together, and that's when you're gonna be thinking like that your teeth could like crack or things like that or, like, w- miss little bits.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
But then when, if you actually move your teeth, um, like your bottom jaw forward and you move your bottom jaw to the side and to the other side, and if you see the top and the bottom teeth match like a jigsaw, then that's one of the biggest signs of grinding.

A lot of people talk about, you know, brushing your teeth and flossing and keeping their teeth looking clean, but like what other benefits are there to actually good oral hygiene?

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
So the oral health has been linked to many different parts of the body, and like one thing that everyone needs to kind of remember, and that I've actually never seen in clinic, is you never see a pair of teeth come in without the body, and yet [laughs] the body is being treated as a completely different entity to the teeth.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
And the gums are linked, the teeth is linked, the diet is linked, the reflux is linked.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
And the teeth are, because we get to look into the mouth, we get to see things at such early stages.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
And the oral health from a brushing perspective, the, any like inflamed gums and stuff, so when you have any sort of inflammation or swelling in the body, that creates like a cascade or like a domino effect throughout the body.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
Likewise, if you have any other inflammation throughout your body, that's gonna do the reverse.

What trends make you cringe the most? Are, are there any that actually are worth trying, or are they all making you cringe?

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
[laughs] Um, so, like, I guess a few, again, that are kinda popping to mind would be, like, so, like, the bicarbonate soda and li- lemon I'm often asked about with regards to whitening.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
Uh, your lemon is also, um, acidic, so all that's gonna do is damage the surface of your tooth.

Bronagh KeaneGUEST
Um, the other things that, um, kind of, like, they're not, like, terrible, but I'm just kinda like [laughs] um, is oil pulling.

Valerie McHughHOST
What are the biggest mistakes people are making when they're trying to whiten their teeth though?
