What can you tell me about that, Chuck?
12:54
Well, I wrote that for Gus, and I knew he did the song.
12:58
And then I just thought, you know, again, keeping it instrumental.
13:02
I've been doing instrumental music for like 40 years.
13:05
And the thing is, you've got to kind of like really understand this, that it's got to be simplified.
13:11
It's got to reach people because people don't really... like instrumental music all that much because they like lyrics that they can you know gravitate to and grab to so the trick with instrumental music is that's what you have to do is you know really hone hone it so it's simple enough for people to grasp it and for the masses to understand it and be able to hum it so and that's the way i approach really all the music instrumental music you know is a key thing to me so that's what I've been doing yeah
15:43
Was there a discussion with them on how those parts would go or did they just come in and just kind of, they went with it?
15:51
Well, when I do these songs, I, you know, like I said earlier, you know, I kind of cater to them and I'm thinking of them.

12:03
So was everything recorded remotely like their parts or did you bring anybody into like your studio or how did you handle the recording process?
12:11
The recording, basically, I have drummers I work with, studio musicians, and so we recorded the drums down in my studio, recorded the bass, all of that.
12:24
I played all the rhythm tracks, the guitar melodies.
12:28
um, and solos other than obviously the, uh, the guest solos.
12:34
And, um, basically we recorded everything down.
12:39
Um, a lot of it was onto tape on the two inch tape.
12:43
And, uh, then I transferred it over to logic.
TrentHOST
16:18
So just forgive my ignorance on that question.
2:40
Right? [laughs]
2:41
Yeah.
2:42
Well, yeah, I guess so.
2:43
Uh, um, I started young.
2:47
Um, my mother had a, um, acoustic nylon classical guitar that she had brought back from Mexico when she was living there.
2:56
And, uh, so I started playing in the '70s and, you know, like the mid, early-mid-70s.
3:02
And so, um, you know, I quickly, uh, realized that I wanted electric guitar, and I really liked electric guitar and the sounds it made, and you could bend the strings and, and make all these great sounds that I was hearing from people like Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck and, you know, all the Zeppelin, Jimmy Page stuff.
4:10
Oh, yeah.
