do you think Purdue is still looking to add to this class or do they keep a couple of spots open in case they do want to plug some holes with the portal?

Yeah, first off, I was told there would be no math.

But no, they're going to keep looking in 2027 for somebody to go along with Kevin Savage and Isaiah Hill.

Who that would be, I don't know right now.

They obviously brought in Ahmed Noor for an official visit.

We'll see how that's going to look after July when everybody offers him.

I should caution people that the days of writing Purdue off on guys like that are over, if they ever really existed.

Are there some major hurdles to clear still? First off,

Well, he's-- It's not specifically the passing, it's what he does to set up the passing.

His, his mastery of manipulating secondary defenders, and generating angles, and just mastering what I call, I guess, the geometry of basketball i- is just unparalleled.

It, it's probably 1% in the-- At, at the risk of overstatement, it's probably the top 1% in the world.

It's-- He's just a point guard savant.

And, um, clearly he, he has watched basketball, he's studied basketball.

He's, he's immersed himself in basketball.

Do you see that as a function of what I just described with Clark, or is there more to that?

How will Purdue navigate through a new athletic director and perhaps, and I mean this with no disrespect to Mike Babinski, who I like as a person a great deal, but do they do different approach or look for different philosophy moving forward?

No, I don't think so.

I think that Mike Babinski made one bad hire in football, and I think that's what he's ultimately, in a lot of people's minds, going to get judged for.

I think Purdue has been really supportive within the framework of its resources of football.

I think Jeff Brom had everything he needed to be successful.

I think Ryan Walters had enough to be successful, maybe not at the highest level, the NIL part of it came along for Ryan Walters, and that was kind of a complicated deal for Purdue, whose people didn't necessarily respond to that the way a lot of other people did.

People hate hearing me say that, but it's the God's honest truth that that didn't go great for Purdue, but also you had a coach who had money and furthered her way, spending it on bad players and guys who weren't good enough.

Is that even old school? That's just, you know what I mean? That's always school, right? Yes, I hear you.
