5:18
We'll
5:18
be a lot quicker.
5:21
What's not working? Everything.
5:23
I mean, everything.
5:25
And I really, after the USC game, The next week, I really did a lot of digging on some stuff and leading it to Michigan the last few days after Michigan.
5:38
Here's what's not working, and it's really simple.
5:41
They don't have enough talent.

42 MINS LATER

47:46
Brian, I do want to finish though with a little bit of recruiting because how does the recruiting plan for Penn State coincide with everything we just covered in the transfer portal? So,
5:15
What have you seen thus far from his jump into Big Ten Conference play? 'Cause he's a guy that a lot of people felt was as advertised as, as a solution, as a guy who could spirit an offense that he was familiar with through the first three games, and that really hasn't sustained into Big Ten action.
5:31
A couple things.
5:32
I, I put no stock in the non-conference games.
5:34
I think they were a joke, right? And that's not anything on Becht, anything on Campbell.
5:38
That was set up before they got here.
5:40
It's a joke to try to, you know...
5:42
When your toughest game is gonna be Buffalo or Temple, it, it's a joke.

13 MINS LATER

19:08
Yeah
10:26
I
10:27
mean, I remember leaving his work at him being like, well, they're going to have to fight to hold onto this kid.
10:34
And so, you know, and he wanted to come in academically.
10:38
You can handle it to get in there.
10:40
Yeah.
10:43
I, I don't know how ideal it is sometimes because you're missing a year's worth of playing at the high school level and a year's worth of experience.
10:52
But on the flip side, you're getting really good coaching.

6 MINS LATER

17:25
There's
1:27
What is your overall thoughts on how Rutgers fared in this 2027 recruiting class?
1:33
Yeah, I think you – I look at it in different ways, right? Like, you can't look at – offensive linemen the same way you look at receivers the same way you look at running backs and here's what i mean by that you go get you know your receivers and they got three of the top guys on their board um isaiah alvarez jamar taylor arnold mcgara right they were high on their board they were easily top five guys on their board and in getting those guys you know, you can spend a little bit more.
2:09
It's more of a known commodity on, on the transition from high school to college.
2:17
And then you turn around and you look at what they did on the offensive line, defensive line, where I'm sure some people were like, Hey, he committed great.
2:26
What does that mean? And who is he? Look at his offers.
2:30
And listen, they went out and they watched all these guys in person and, You know, that's where you have to trust your assistant coaches to do the right evals and what the information they're bringing back.
2:41
But, you know, I'll give you an example.

18 MINS LATER

20:14
But but I know you you know the situation well and kind of another guy that maybe Rutgers snuck up on and got before he got his name really got out there.
