Are you familiar with Hoobastank? Would you say Hoobastank is a good band?
24:08
Yeah.
35:29
What is, like, your take as we start to lean into football season?
35:35
I mean, I think that it's gonna be the same as all other years.
35:39
I mean, there's always been speculation on any product.
35:42
Uh, uh, think about, think about a different product that had speculation.
35:45
Did it, did it go f- did it do well? A major sport like this, like football, there's, in my opinion, there's just no chance that there's failure.
35:54
It, there's always a new hottest player that's evolving in the league, and there's always gonna be that new hottest card that hits the market and everybody does not have it.
36:04
There's going to be hype no matter what.
39:48
Yeah.
38:04
Going, uh, for a first-comer to The National, what is something that you would say somebody has to go and try or experience at the show?
38:13
First-comer to The National, I guess I would say, um, take it all in sections.
38:18
There's, there's not a specific thing that I would recommend running to.
38:22
I, I think what it is is it's, it fits the needs for everybody that, um, is coming there for a specific reason, right? If you're a card collector, that's really easy, right? The, the show is majority cards, right? If you're there to see activations from, um, manufacturers, uh, then I guess corporate is gonna be an area where you're gonna wanna check out.
38:40
If you're in the breaker space, uh, if you're, if you're hot in that space, which is, is live selling, um, we have that area as well.
38:48
Um, you know, the, the new area that, that we're excited about is Hall G.
38:51
So if I'm gonna make my own, uh, pitch and recommendation, I'm gonna recommend that, uh, that newcomers to the show or even, you know, more importantly, uh, traditionalists that have been coming to the show for many years, um, we've expanded to Hall G upstairs, which we, we test piloted last year.

5 MINS LATER

44:31
... then with that being said, if, if we are, I guess, excited for the cards, are there sections of this show that like, oh, this is where the baseball is, the basketball? Or is this just one of those where this is a free-for-all, go out there, use the Ludex app, find where you're going?
24:50
Yeah.
24:50
Upstairs, uh, upstairs is gonna have a whole new look.
24:53
So again, if, if you haven't been to the show, well, I mean, there's an international flair upstairs, and, and we're curious to see what that's all about.
25:02
So I think that's, um, another area to look.
25:06
And then, you know, if you're into vintage or you're into, you know, buying new product, I mean, the main floor is just full of it.
25:12
It's j- it's just such a spectacular event.
25:15
I, I...

6 MINS LATER

30:53
Sorry, Brian, go ahead.
12:17
I mean, it's like mind-boggling.
12:19
Yeah, I mean, absolutely.
12:21
Back in 2000, you know, it was a giant card show, right? I mean, the corporate activations were nothing in comparison to what they are now.
12:30
And, you know, COVID reset the market, as we all know, which is wonderful.
12:38
But the show itself, the loins of the show are just so phenomenal.
12:44
And the market is so great.
12:46
And You know, JBJ got to step in at the right time and put some more energy there.

17 MINS LATER

29:58
Brian, talk about Trade Night.
