Now, let's get to today's message.

Good morning, church.

I'd invite you to turn in your Bibles to Revelation chapter 2.

FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS PASTORING HERE, I'VE HAD A TREMENDOUS PRIVILEGE AND HONOR THAT AFTER SERVICE, I GET TO CONNECT WITH MEMBERS OF OUR CONGREGATION WHO COME UP AND SHARE ABOUT LANDMARK MOMENTS IN THEIR LIFE how Christ is at work.

They share victories of what he's doing, what he's revealing to them.

I have also had the tremendous opportunity to pray with those who are going through valleys in life, extreme suffering with what's coming into their life or marital tension, relational tension that they're experiencing.

And what I've discovered is Christ is in the midst of his people through both seasons.

So what Jesus is actually saying is go and make apprentices, students who learn to live into Jesus.

Now, last week we looked at the going aspect, but today we're gonna look at the other two aspects, baptizing and teaching, because I want you to understand that y- you need to walk away with this.

Jesus offers a type of discipleship that is unlike anything else in the world, and it starts with the first activity, baptizing them.

On the day of Pentecost, we read in Acts chapter 2 that a, that there's a great demonstration of the Holy Spirit, so much so that it draws a crowd.

A- and a crowd forms around Peter and the other apostles, and Peter preaches a powerful message about the gospel.

A- and he tells the people that this Jesus that they had just crucified about a month prior is actually seated on the throne.

Now, let's get to today's message.

I would invite you to turn in your Bibles to Matthew chapter 28.

Before we dive into our text for this morning, I just want to look back over the summer months, just June, July, and August, and notice some things about how our church has been engaged.

This past summer, we had members from our church fly around the world to serve alongside our global partners.

They took time from their vacation allotment at work, flew thousands of miles to different contexts globally, had sleepless nights as they poured out their lives in the service of others, experienced jet lag, experienced cross-cultural ministry while they learned about how God was at work in those different contexts serving alongside our partners.

They went to Egypt, Kenya, and Colombia to learn how God is on the move in those areas.
