ahead.
13:07
You want to come in? Come on.
13:09
I want to have a little bit of faith here.
13:11
I... like Jordan, pouted for many an inning.
13:15
But you know what? Why not at this point? I think that I know that we potentially have downplayed, you know, the appearance of Gavin Williams today as a bullpen day.
13:25
Other teams have been doing it and it's been working fine.
13:28
But they just they worked them a lot more than anyone expected, I think.
26:54
Brett, where do you fall?
26:58
You know, just the thought of naming these guys is just-- It's a scary thought, let me tell you that.
27:03
Like, it really gets to a point of like these guys are playing well.
27:09
I think, um, I think Patrick Nolan said it best.
27:12
David Sandlin has not appeared in a game for the White Sox where his ERA has been between 1.5 and like 8.75.
27:20
He has either been really, really good or really less good and that's a little scary.
27:28
I love the way he's been pitching though.

18 MINS LATER

45:55
But I don't know if any of you kind of feel differently about it.
32:26
But how do you guys feel about where Colson's at right now at this point in the season?
32:32
You know, it's it really sucks to see.
32:34
I'm just going to outright say it.
32:36
You know, it really absolutely sucks.
32:40
Two things that I think I can kind of highlight here a little bit.
32:43
Um, one, it feels like teams are exploiting his weaknesses to the maximum and some of the at bats, you know, I've been watching with my family a little bit recently this weekend and my dad and I are go up.
32:56
Here comes another down and in breaking ball.

7 MINS LATER

40:13
Like he has to have to have like some sort of reset, maybe take a day or two off, really work with, uh, hitting coaches to kind of be like, all right, what is my approach at the plate? Cause we need to start from scratch.
5:44
Like that's where I say like in a vacuum, it's a good move, right? But if this is the only thing they do, I'm not personally sure how I feel about taking on the 12 million, um, a- and getting a guy who's had mixed results, to say the least, this season.
5:59
Um, so after looking into a couple things, I mean, I honestly hadn't been paying much attention to how he was doing this year.
6:06
Um, one thing I noticed was I kind of went and looked at, all right, is there some-- like, are we seeing a decrease in velo? And actually, his fastball is, like, half a tick up.
6:16
So there's no concern about, you know, oh, there's a big drop-off in velo.
6:19
The one thing that I am a little concerned with, though, is that he is putting away hitters a lot less this year than in previous years.
6:26
So the strikeout percentage is a bit down from the past couple years.
6:30
The one thing that I do like coming into this organization, though, at that even with a down year, he's still not walking the world, because I know that we do have some pitchers who really struggle with that in this org.
8:54
I was like, "Oh, I actually kind of liked him now," but whatever, it's too little too late.
20:54
But he's also very young, and it's something that can improve over time, so I'm not ready to, you know, make it a bigger issue than it is.
21:01
Well, the thing about Mydroth is, a- and I've wanted to bring this up for a couple episodes, they're asking him to do something.
21:08
It's not his role.
21:10
His role is not to be the middle of the order RBI guy hitting fifth or sixth.
21:15
That is not his job.
21:17
His job is to probably be a nine hitter on this team, set the table, get on base, flip the lineup over.
21:23
I don't love that you have Antonacci and Mydroth back to back like that.

9 MINS LATER

30:21
The, uh, it's normal for a team to be better at home obviously than on the road
23:39
But for now, you're setting this team on a trajectory where you can feel them potentially playing meaningful games sooner rather than later, strictly from the culture that's been created, and I think that's where you have to give the credit where it's due.
23:55
Yeah.
23:55
I think I'm more on the positive end as well, just because I feel like since, since a lot of the really questionable decisions came early season, and I feel like there was a big conversation amongst fans of, like, what's his-- Like, is this style gonna work? Like, having frustrations about bullpen management.
24:13
Uh, to Will's credit, I think as time has gone on, there's been a lot of role defining, especially in the bullpen.
24:19
So I was, like, conversation with Grant Taylor earlier, like, they've found, like, they've found more appropriate spots for Taylor.
24:25
They find more appropriate spots for Nuke.
24:27
They've been using Nuke come in a way I really like.

13 MINS LATER

37:10
Where, you know, kinda like I was talking about earlier with the one through five in this lineup and how we feel about it, where do you see, see Kyle Teal kinda sneaking into this lineup? Um, do you think they start him low, kinda limited at-bats just to get him comfortable? Or do you think they just kinda throw him right into the fray and see, uh, you know, see what the kid's made of?
