Mm-hmm.

Um, so, you know, that's always been the traditional route that we've pr- pushed people to.

Like, "Hey, if you wanna get into it, look into our apprenticeship program." One of the new things that we've been doing, we're about a year into it now, is running what's called Reconnect.

It's Reconnect classes.

Um, and that's geared toward unemployed or underemployed individuals that are trying to get the skills needed to get into our, our field, our industry.

Um, and those are short-term classes.

Those are, we wanna get you in, in about eight weeks give you as much information and skills as for a foundational level that we can give you, and then get you a job.

... and get more information.

And apparently for many of them, by the time they finally did get the rain they needed to get their season started, they had changed plans on what to plant and switched over to sorghum.

A lot of people have decided, I think, to make that decision to go ahead and plant sorghum.

It had really gotten too late, especially, I think, for a cotton crop got to the point that it was getting too late.

So I think we are seeing more sorghum that has gone in over the last probably two weeks.

if you want to get your crop to the finish line before we start experiencing frosts and freezes in the fall.

Kind of depends on where you're at in the Texas panhandle, on the southern part of the panhandle, Lubbock area.

You can probably plant up to July 10th with at least an early maturing variety, maybe even early medium variety.

As you get further up into the panhandle, say in the Pairton area, up in that area, you're probably looking at Really about July 5th is kind of where I would probably cut it off.
