But what about privacy? Where is all this information going when we're asking AI these questions?
11:13
Yeah, I always think of that myself when I'm typing things in, like, where does it go? And that really is critical and can be easily overlooked.
11:23
Investors should really avoid entering sensitive personal data into public AI tools.
11:28
Don't put your date of birth, your social security number.
11:31
Don't put in your real name.
11:34
Would you openly provide your personal information on the internet like that? I mean, that's a scary part.
11:41
It's because it's really easy to get caught up in providing too much information because AI has become that very sophisticated and friendly person to interact with, so to speak.
13:36
Well, it seems like automating the routine paperwork, AI allows us to be more human, not less, which means I think I still have a job for now.
1:04
And Brendan, why don't you just take us there with some of the research that you've had on some of the things that are going on in the progressive states?
1:11
So we're going to use an example.
1:13
We live in California.
1:15
Easy example on that.
1:16
Let's say you had a married couple that currently had $80,000 of ordinary income.
1:24
They're at retirement and they're considering doing a $300,000 Roth conversion from a traditional IRA or 401k.
1:33
So that's going to bring their total income to $380,000 for the year.

12 MINS LATER

13:24
You really need to take a look at this for not only planning for yourself throughout your retirement, but also if you have heirs, children, that you want to pass this estate on to.
2:43
What are some of the key steps one should consider if you are fortunate enough to have this kind of wealth that would be significant to pass on to your heirs?
2:54
Absolutely.
2:55
So the first thing you want to do is start with the basics in planning, of course.
3:00
Look at your current financial situation, your income expenses, how you want to enjoy your assets during your lifetime.
3:07
Look at your short, midterm, long-term goals, what retirement looks like for you.
3:12
And then, of course, we're going to model in different scenarios, premature death, major health care costs, market downturns, and we stress test that plan to answer one key question.
3:23
Will your plan succeed under pressure? And if not, we adjust.
5:02
But Brendan, what about the children? Because let's say the wife is informed, but what about the children who are going to inherit this wealth?
