It's a major concern that people seem to have access to weapons very easily.

In terms of the access as to where these people get firearms, we are doing operations.

We are working very closely with, uh, crime intelligence.

We have issued a statement recently saying that we have more than 100 firearms that have been confiscated during police operation because in Gauteng it's known operations are being conducted every Thursday and every Saturday.

And in between that, those Thursday ones and Friday ones, there's one that will be led by the provincial commissioner himself in one of the districts and the other districts simultaneous will also be running those program.

Those operations involve stop and searches, roadblocks, vehicle search points that they conduct, and we're working very closely with all the other law enforcement agencies to ensure that we deal decisively with the proliferation of illegal firearms in this province.
