And now the more pavement, the more construction there is, the less square footage of land there is to absorb the water.
27:05
Yeah, and it's also like the water's channelized and it's all funneled to one area, to a creek or a stream, and those all run together.
27:16
Versus if you think about how water falls in a forest, right? The big heavy raindrops, they land on the leaves of trees.
27:23
And if you're standing in a forest, when it's pouring rain outside, it's usually just a mist that you feel under the canopy of the trees.
27:31
So that's a great kind of example of what we're doing is we take the water and then we concentrate it and then we cause a problem downstream versus allowing our landscapes to absorb the water when it falls.
27:45
So we might not all live in a forest, but what we can do is...
27:50
There are a lot of techniques that you can do, but the principle, the water pillar of a regenerative landscape is to slow the water down and allow it to hydrate the soils and to send it where it's most useful in your yard before it ever goes to the stormwater system.

It's about the rain garden.

the South.

So I, you know, that's just not my approach to almost anything.
14:24
I feel like there's always a case to be, the world is not so black and white, right? There's a lot of nuance to how we do things.
14:31
And I think anytime there's there's a inclination to say, well, it has to be this way or it's nothing, then I'm sort of like, yeah, is that true? I don't know.
14:42
I'm going to put holes in that.
14:43
Yeah, it can be true.

So can you explain a little bit of what that means to you?
