So what would you then say are some of the biggest forces that are driving illegal immigration right now? What are pushing these people to want to go and try and, and cross?

The biggest incentive for illegal immigration is always jobs.

There's nothing that quite compares to an American salary that gets people incentivized to come, um, and take our jobs.

But it's also because Donald Trump campaigned on mass deportations, and that's something that all of his voters knew and that's the reason why they voted for him.

Um, now you have talks about amnesty and, um, not following through with, with mass deportations, which is what the people issued a mandate for.

And so when Republicans in Congress are, um, having to defend against amnesty and having to push back on, on Democrats on this issue, it steers the conversation away from mass deportations, which is the number one deterrent.

Uh, I reported about 2 million people, I believe earlier this year, have self-deported since the beginning of Trump's administration.

So what do states have to do with immigration enforcement, um, with dealing with illegal immigrants? Why are their laws important and why are you spending so much time trying to give laws to states to implement regarding this topic?
