I saw some of the feedback that Glenn got about Wiggins' defense, and I was going to poke fun at Glenn about calling him elite defensively.

In general, two-way wing players that make 5% of the salary cap like it's a pretty easy pitch to me like i know i of course got the usual like oh you're such a nerd for the way i described wiggins on my show last night and it's like i don't think he's a star player like i think he's a very useful like seventh eighth man on a good team and he's so cheap in the modern nba and doesn't take anything off the table to where it's like pretty obvious to see why the hawks were intrigued by him Also, the only reason why he was available for that price is that the Thunder had this massive tax bill.

Brad, what does Veit bring to the Blazers? What does he bring to any NBA team? And what has he been like for Atlanta in his career?

25:18Brad RolandGUEST
That was not the appeal of Pete Krejci as a prospect who was drafted and coming up, and now that's his primary appeal, like pretty obviously.

He's become a 40-plus percent for three years now high-volume movement shooter, and that is number one on this kind of report of what he brings to the table, and I'm sure that's what Portland's looking for in trading for him.

Mike RichmanHOST
Okay, so why'd the Hawks do this? Why'd they trade for a center who's not going to play for them, maybe likely ever, and a couple second-round picks? What's the appeal?
