40:32
I totally remember that.
40:33
Yeah.
40:33
And they they hired me.
40:34
And at that location, they said, you're by far the youngest personal trainer we've ever hired.
40:39
And I was like, sweet.
40:40
And unfortunately, like, I couldn't stay sober.
40:42
I turned to heroin shortly after getting that job.

45:56
And so we pivoted,
2:16
What does becoming next level mean?
2:21
Um, you know, I think, um, I think that within everybody we have...
2:31
I think a lot of people have another level to take their life to, and most of us, unless pushed to do so, get comfortable just staying at, uh, at a certain level.
2:43
And so within the company, we've really tried to help clients get to that next level, and not only physically, but also, you know, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
2:53
And kind of my whole, you know, ideology within coaching when I started this company was I thought about it like a four-legged chair.
3:01
And I realized early in my career, people would come to me, you know, and, uh, I was a fitness and nutrition coach, I was a personal trainer, and they would come to me to get physically fit.
3:12
And I realized, like, you know, that could only go so far if that was the only leg of the chair that they were working on.
3:27
[laughs]
11:23
So how do you get someone a to think more proactively and tactically about this when they know they're probably going to be in this situation maybe their work life whatever packing lunch is not really a convenient option so how do you get that person to shift their mindset around okay i can actually go to i don't know taco bell i hate taco bell i think it's disgusting sorry taco bell will never accept a sponsorship oh dude i get i get
11:47
harassed when i rate that low yeah they're like yeah people love taco bell You know, it's an interesting question.
11:55
And so, you know, and I think it's important to also kind of zoom out that, you know, our main clientele we work with at my company is busy parents.
12:06
And, you know, specifically with my clientele is...
12:14
If it's a man, I work with a lot of like executives or entrepreneurs.
12:20
It's just kind of who I've attracted organically.
12:23
And then, you know, even my women clients are often, you know, high performers in their own right.

19 MINS LATER

31:44
you should be able to have this still eat kind of whatever you want and be able to you know stay small lose weight when on average women are smaller than men on average women have less muscle mass men on average women have lower metabolic rates than men and yet live in a society that's making the average man gain weight and get metabolically unhealthy so that's something i like to wake people up to
36:01
Yeah.
36:02
Like, this is wild.
36:03
What am I doing? So this is all kind of, it came to an end, was that last, uh, last year in November of 2012.
36:12
And sorry if there's anybody listening that's heard this story.
36:13
It's the only fucking one I got, okay? [laughs] It's the only story.
36:17
[laughs] And end of 2012, my mother called me in Oct- uh, November of that year and she said, um, she informed me my grandfather had died.
36:26
And I was fairly close with him until I was just off the deep end the last few years with drugs.
38:21
Yeah.
