It was during a raft trip down the Grand Canyon where Matt Brian met another Matt, Matt Halverson.

I met Matt Bryan in the fall of 2020, and it was on a Grand Canyon rafting trip.

What was striking to me about him was he was a huge Phish fan.

Uh, he was- his boat was always blasting Phish.

You could hear it from everywhere on the ra- on the river.

By the end of the trip, uh, some people were probably getting sick of Phish, but it was just, it was so funny to me how passionate he was about the band.

What also was striking about him is when he got excited about something, he got, like, electric.

This is going to be noisy for the next little bit as we try to navigate our plan.
