mr bobby you've discussed innovative models like subscription-based state plan on the lawyer millionaire podcast why is it important for an attorney to think like entrepreneur and challenge the traditional legal fee and structure what is the resistance that you face
12:05
uh probably and this is a little too apropos is that with the advent of the various AIs and LLM models out there, more and more non-lawyers are getting access to lawyer information.
12:19
And one of the byproducts of that is it's going to drive down the fees that lawyers can charge or force them to abandon the hourly billing model altogether.
12:29
um and so developing a flat fee subscription model trying to to be innovative in how you approach the business while still providing the same level of service to clients in the legal industry is is not an easy task for one you're going to face a lot of resistance from the legal industry itself it's just a lot of institutional inertia where it's always been done this one way so it's going to be resistance to to new business models But of course you balance that with the client demand for such things.
12:59
And so being able to find that sweet spot between whether it's a subscription service, you know, a client pays a monthly fee for so many hours of work each month from an attorney or even a flat fee for traditional services or that were in the past used hourly really provides a value add to the client.

And for a lot of stuff on the estate planning side and even the probate side, we know how much work is involved.
