When I'm like her, I buy liquor just fine.
23:03
I was at the studio one night, doing some recording.
23:08
I stopped recording and went by the casino.
23:14
You know some fellas, you know fellas, sometimes we go win some money, have some money, we don't want our ladies to know what we got.
23:26
So I won some money.
23:28
I hid it right here.
23:30
When I left home, I had about $8 or $10.

17 MINS LATER

40:10
How long? Somebody tell me how long, how
9:54
Uh, you chuckle when you [laughs] hear about the highs and the lows.
9:57
Well, I tell you what, what I get out of all of what I've done is have people like you to recognize what I have done and have enough nerve to call me and ask me doing an interview like this.
10:08
This is what my life is about now.
10:10
Because when people, my fans, people with radio, TV, and television, uh, and all, and newspapers and all form of fashion of, uh, in- introdu- introducing me to people that don't know me and, and repeating for the people who do know me well, God, there's no words to say other than thank you, Jesus, for letting me be around this long and have enough sense to say thank you for what you have done, what you're doing, what you plan to do.
10:40
Because what you say about me in this interview is what people perceive me to be, so thank you for what you've done.
11:27
And, and why did you decide to, to go back to Mississippi? You-
11:32
Well, I wasn't from Mississippi.
11:34
I'm from the southern state.
6:27
Talk to me about that, Bobby.
6:29
I knew him on a personal base because he got a bad rap for a lot of things that the public gave him a bad rap for because he loved the people who did the blues, which were the black men as a whole.
6:42
And he loved the black scene in the music.
6:45
And he wasn't copping.
6:46
He was just a natural lover of the blues.
6:49
And I knew that about him.
6:50
I remember we went to a show in Missouri back in 1957.
7:57
Why is that? Why is it that in the end, the blues calls you back?
