Do you have different treatments for the different types of sepsis that somebody has?
6:55
Yeah.
6:55
The good news is that there's actually a lot of treatments available that are very mature.
7:00
So it's not like we have to start from pre-clinical to phase one to phase two.
7:04
A lot of these treatments are already through phase one, phase two, sometimes even phase three.
7:09
Sometimes they're already even approved for other indications.
7:13
To give you an example, we talked about hyperinflammation in sepsis, so the immune system is very elevated.
8:26
What do you mean by that? How do you measure the biology first?
2:56
Mm-hmm
2:56
... which is the main hospital in Champaign.
2:59
Um, and as part of that process, I actually got a badge that let me into all areas in the hospital.
3:05
They didn't, they didn't know this at the time, but, uh, the badge actually let me into the ICU, into the lab, into the hospital quarters, into patient rooms, et cetera.
3:14
And I took full advantage of that over the course of one to two years, where I interviewed a lot of doctors, nurses, technicians, patients, and I started to realize that there was a huge problem that still remains unsolved to this day, which is that we don't understand the biology of the most serious conditions in the hospital.
3:34
We just don't have the right data.
3:36
We don't have the right understanding of, of these conditions, whether it's sepsis or acute heart failure or acute kidney injury or pneumonia or stroke.

What else can, can we do either at Prenosys or as an industry to get more attention here? To get more attention on these sort of common diseases that es- escalate rapidly, take lives, and cost a lot of money?
