What's your view on the state of ABA today?
83:49
Well, over the past 10 years, I think it has become much less scientific.
83:55
It's less science-based.
83:59
And in fact, some ABBA programs that teach people to give them a certificate or a master's degree don't let them use references for their assignments more than 10 years old.
84:12
Now, that's crazy because all of the best stuff was published in the 70s, the 80s, the 90s.
84:26
And to tell students they can't use things more than 10 years old, they're not going to learn anything that is in the history of ABBA.
84:34
And personally, I don't see anything new that has been published or learned in the past 10 years, or maybe even in the past 20 years.

severely autistic child for 21 years and I've taught hundreds of them and I've worked very closely because my I guess I feel like my purpose if you call it your why is to educate parents on effective treatment and as you say the kind thing to do might not always be see like the easiest thing to do but Do you have anything that you want to say about that? Because I know there'll be people that say, oh, there are degrees of freedom and children are withdrawing their agreement to be taught that program by the behavior they're engaging in.
