you? He has a kingdom mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit.

So he is looking for ways to entrepreneurially advance the work of the kingdom in his lane.

I think Keith understands what he's good at, what God's put him here for.

And so he's looking for biblically sound and creatively rich people.

And how can we make this a part of how God advances his kingdom in the world? And that's one of the reasons why next year Sing is a global summit, voices from all over the world coming.

And the Getty organization is really taking a more global perspective on what they're doing because this is a kingdom issue that they're addressing, this whole issue of how we worship

And to have 7,000 people singing them as loud as they could.

So all of that to say, I'm curious about during your time at Family Life Today, what have you learned relating to manhood and womanhood?

Well, first of all, let, let me just commend you on the, the, what, how you stated what you just stated, because God made us with equal worth and dignity, and, and that's so important that that be emphasized, and yet He made us distinctly different, and that's not just in ... uh, uh, in anatomy.

He made us- Yeah ... distinctly different, uh, with, with different strengths, different weaknesses, different approaches to life.

And one of the first things that I had to learn about those differences is that when it comes to how we interact, different isn't necessarily wrong.

Sometimes it's just different.

Now, th- this can relate to male and female differences, but it can ri- relate to temperament or personality differences.

We wouldn't say that, that, uh, cookies and cream is the wrong choice for ice cream.

And I know that you've just shared several things that you learned specifically from Dennis, but, uh, what would you s- are there any other key concepts that you learned from him that you would like to share?

Some of you have heard it for decades, so here's Bob.

[upbeat music] I'm guessing that if you're here, you probably have at least one child, and you're no longer paying their cell phone bill or their car insurance, right? [cheering] Yes.

H- how many of you are in that category? Raise your hand if you've got...

Okay.

That's a great liberating thing, but here's the problem.

Sometimes with that, these kids start making choices on their own, and we don't like some of those choices, and it can create relationship tension, and that's what I want to talk about.

The, uh, a- as we talk about relating to your adult kids, I'm aware that this is an issue for so many parents.

Well, why don't you listen to the l- the rest of what Bob said on the cruise, and then do it.

So for parents who maybe haven't given this much thought, can you tell us about the four stages of parenting?

Yeah, I, I learned this at a father-son event that one of my boys and I went to, and, and the speaker mapped this out.

So this is not original with me, but it, it made sense to me as he was talking about it.

He said, when, when we're raising our kids, we go through four phases.

He said the first phase you're in as a parent is a caretaker phase.

So the caretaker's job is to keep the child fed, alive, breathing.

You know, basically get them through the day without any, any self-harm.

What advice would you give to a parent who says their child is just not interested at all in memorizing scripture? How would you encourage them? And also, do you have any tips, uh, to help with memors- memorizing scripture?
