OK, so my introduction to this album in many ways was part of my introduction to sort of independent hip hop as it existed as a time.

And yeah, I was in college in New York.

and um a cat that i was friends with smoked trees with sometimes um he was from the city and he had he had records you know record player would come through and he had come through there and he'd have different records and he had this record and um which was the juggernauts uh ep at the time clear blue skies um that i think had been part of they, they had had a record label deal and then they got dropped or whatever.

And it kind of got put out as a white label.

That's what I like.

Okay.

I mean, what do you get out of this partnership that I guess you don't get when you're working by yourself?

Mm-hmm.

You know, I knew I was gonna be driving it creatively, but I thought that's what it would be.

And so I was like, obviously, that'll draw a lot of attention, whatever, whatever.

And Vordul was still gracious enough to allow me to use the material that he'd done, but at a certain point he was, like, focused on other things, and, uh, which was fine.

And, uh, the other person on the group quit, and, um-I was just really on my own with this, but there was this cat, John Woods was his real name, and he was the engineer for those sessions and, um, produced a couple beats there as a, as under the name Aerotaxi on Camouflage, and he really steered me towards everything I was doing.

But I w- we-- Bond and I literally did not know anything about what we were doing or the music industry or anything.

We didn't even know how to make the music really.
