Yeah, as you say, the title is We Interrupt This Program, and it's at the Virginia Theatre October 16th and 17th, so it's coming up.

And it features, it's a two-hour program featuring a play at the beginning.

written by me, and then a discussion, a fun, engaging discussion by Sarah Edwards in the second half, the second hour.

The name We Interrupt This Program comes from the, I would say, mostly from the play itself, which is about a local radio station in Illinois covering the arrival of a, of, of an alien ship and actually two alien ships not to give too much away, but it's a very silly play, um, about the people, uh, the reporter and the people trying to cover this, uh, um, this, you know, history making event, uh, for, for humanity.

Um, and it's very much inspired by like the work of Bob and Ray, uh, where it's one crazy character after another.

How is it kind of transitioning to onstage production? So how does that process differ for you?

I worked with him when he was at Saturday Night Live.

I sort of pitch in and help them uh over the phone usually but i'd go to new york sometimes too crazy it was great but you're a phd in chemistry you're not funny you you spoil parties you're bold come on oh come on a lot of the people of the simpsons and certainly in futurama where i write now uh all have advanced degrees in science or law some interesting yeah law degrees from harvard yale
