Looking back now, how do you see that? And what's your thoughts having travelled around the world and talked about these ideas, what that reception's been like?

You know, kind of the genesis of this idea really came to me back when I was at AHRI.

I had a working group that I led of a bunch of manufacturers, and we were talking about, you know, post-pandemic, what was the future of equipment going to be? And kind of hearing the manufacturers who had already done the R&D and invested in developing air cleaning or IEQ type of products and said there's just no demand for them.

And it made me think about how quickly we were reverting back to bad behaviors post-pandemic.

And I thought about all the good work that ASHRAE and other organizations had done during the pandemic to really understand, you know, obviously it was airborne infectious diseases, but air cleaning and indoor environmental quality in general.

And I didn't want to see us go back to the way it was before because it would just come back to haunt us in the future.

And so I wanted to codify those lessons learned and make sure that it's not just something that then gets buried again in some kind of economic calculation, that it's something that people remember the fact that we build buildings for people.
