What were some of your best lessons back then?
2:51
Yeah, you know, the early days coming up, you know, through I moved around a whole bunch.
2:55
I was an athlete, learned a lot.
2:58
from being a college football player that I brought into the professional world.
3:04
You know, when you get nervous for a presentation, when you get nervous to speak in front of people, you know, I was a wide receiver and people were, 250 pound guys were trying to break my head off, you know, so I was, it's not as nervous.
3:15
People that aren't going to hit me while I'm telling them about insurance doesn't make me as nervous as those times did.
3:20
So getting to know lots of different people from lots of different backgrounds has been very helpful.

What are your thoughts on solutions to providing insurance for as many people as possible and as affordable as possible?
18:01
What else can we do? How else can we stand out in this commodity marketplace?
18:08
You know, one of the ways that I'm trying to stand out is becoming a little bit of a thought leader in the space and having Educate educating people on social media, doing having conversations about politics and policy around health care, becoming someone that the community around me feels knows more than most.
18:34
And and then that gives me credibility and confidence so that maybe they say, hey, do you want to work with me? Do you want to work with our business? Right.
18:44
Very passive, no doubt about it.
18:47
So this is the main challenge of the insurance business because a lot of people, a lot of not very good brokers stay in place because some employers feel like the devil they know is better than the devil they don't.
19:01
And this is at least working okay.
19:04
And it's hard for me to get in front of them and say, we can do so much better.

And the existing broker was not doing a good job.
