I wonder, looking back now, what clicked for you? Were, was it simply your game maturing or w- or was there something else there?

Bevan JacobsGUEST
You know, it was, it was my third time going at it 'cause obviously I debuted in the, in the Smash for Canterbury and, and got a little taste for it and then had my first season with Auckland and then obviously season two with Auckland is where it really kind of took off for me and I think obviously experience plays a role in that and I've played a lot more T20s now and especially being fortunate enough to play a few for New Zealand as well.

Bevan JacobsGUEST
I think everything you learn about being around the inter- international guys obviously feeds into the T20 cricket itself and, and I think I was also fortunate, you know, with these other opportunities overseas that I've had and I think it kind of molds your game into, you know, into what, where you see yourself going and into what you want to be and, you know, I think the really key role of that middle order is obviously trying to be adaptable and so playing for Auckland was really cool to get the experience of, of batting in many different situations, whether it was in the power play, out of the power play and all of that sort of stuff.

Bevan JacobsGUEST
So, you know, I've gotta give credit to all the teams I've been involved with and the experiences I've had, which has shaped the, the way I was able to play and I guess once you find that kind of flow you try and stay in it as long as you can and sometimes, you know, I was obviously quite fortunate, it lasted quite a few innings in a row.

Bevan JacobsGUEST
But you know, at the end of the day just gotta keep reflecting and hopefully I can try and recreate it.

dismissals that that brings? That, and is that an easy reconciliation to make in your mind?

On reflection if you'd had a little bit more time in the middle, it didn't come down to a couple of quick fire games to finish this series, would you perhaps have been in a better shape?

Bevon JacobsGUEST
Um, you know, as you said, being in, inside, in and out the team and some, some really experienced squads and then obviously this squad with, um, a slightly younger group and then getting the oppor- the opportunity.

Bevon JacobsGUEST
I guess there is always gonna be that little bit of internal pressure, you know, where you, where you really want to perform and, and put your case forward.

Bevon JacobsGUEST
But, um, at the end of the day, I guess it's about how I can, you know, stick to my process and what has made me successful in the past domestically and, and trying to imple- implement that into international stuff.

Bevon JacobsGUEST
And, you know, I know it's not al- it's not always as clear cut as that, but yeah, I guess that's where that reflection process is and, and for me it's about figuring out how I can, you know, bring my best game into that international space.
