Well, Victor, President Trump has often tangled with the press.

That's no secret.

And he's also attacked what he believes to be unfair coverage.

But this appears to mark a major new escalation in the president's attacks against the media.

Trump claiming that he is going to ban CNN Politico and MSNOW from the White House.

And interestingly, a source tells me that this announcement caught the White House off guard.

I think that somebody has a right to keep them away if they're going to write false stories all the time.

A senior House Republican member on what it will take to break the DHS funding impasse, quote, "A couple more shootings or the lines to get even longer."

That is ridiculous, um, but that's the reality right now, and it doesn't seem like there is any movement on either side based on everything we are hearing on Capitol Hill and what we are hearing at the White House, which is just continuing to blame Democrats.

But there is a very serious human toll here, and we ... you're seeing that as DHS officials are going to have another week of $0 paycheck.

And we are starting to hear those stories of TSA gainfully employed, fully employed people seeking assistance from food pantries.

Exactly.

And it's just so chaotic, and I think that it's really a challenge for both Democrats and Republicans to keep ...

The Democrats have put up seven or eight bills that the Republicans have voted no on.

That looks foolish.

And then I go onto the Man-O-Sphere or whatever and hear Joe Rogan say, "This is a betrayal," and, "What are we doing?" So how are they reconciling the divisions within their own party?

Well, and that's, that's a very real concern for them.

And then Caroline Levitt's telling, as you said, the media is lying and pushing this fake narrative that there's mixed messaging, but the reality is the messaging has been mixed.

President Trump says it's a war.

He also calls it a short-term excursion.

And from our CNN reporting, we know that both his internal advisors and outside allies are in his ear urging him to clearly communicate what are his objectives, what are his goals, what is the timeline, what's happening with gas prices, and what are his plans to end this.
