I want to flip a table.
40:43
So I've done a lot of voiceover for live events.
40:46
And the way that the thing that's really fun about it is that I sit and I sit with a headset and I get to see all of the different cameras from all the camera operators running around the auditorium or whatever.
40:58
And you see the director choosing which camera operators shot they're going to use next.
41:03
Right.
41:04
And what invariably happens if it's like a live concert.
41:08
is if that concert's being televised, you get all of these shots and you kind of see, like, you're trying to figure out what you want, but then invariably you'll find, like, there's one person in the audience who's awesome.

113:01
And then you have Dennis who's like Halloween three motherfuckers.
103:34
felt anything like it in so long.
103:37
Not since drinking my Crystal Light have I had such a rush.
103:42
So this medium used a Ouija board and like Grinberg didn't take this as, oh, this is really fun or it's a game or, you know, like what a lark.
103:54
He was like, this is a tool.
103:56
And it opened his brain to the idea that people who are dead might not be completely gone maybe they're in a limbo state maybe we can talk to them this you know and of course the fact that his mother had passed like there's there's a reason why spiritualism became so huge after world war one and like the spanish flu like people had lost so many loved ones and we wanted to connect to them so this is you know it makes total sense totally it's not abnormal So his first wife, Lisette, which is one of my favorite names, remembered a time when he told her that a spirit had told him that his watch would stop at a specific hour of the day.
104:37
So let's say it was 6 p.m. And then his watch did stop at 6 p.m. And she said that was the moment that he was hooked.
104:46
He was like, this is a thing.

142:35
Yeah, she knows too
112:46
... maybe it is the crazy goddamn thing, [laughs] you know?
112:49
Yes, it's true.
112:50
There's some case, and I, I cannot remember.
112:52
I know someone listening knows what I'm talking about.
112:54
There was some bizarre true crime case where the, like, the victim profile matched the next-door neighbor's type of victim.
113:06
Like, they happened to live next door to a guy who loved to kidnap this type of child, and this type of child had gone missing, and it wasn't the guy, even though the guy who lived across the street or, or next door, whatever, like, they found the kid's coat in his front lawn and, like, he loved doing specifically something specific that was also part of the missing child case, but it actually was not him.
113:32
It was just, like, a bunch of really crazy coincidences.

11 MINS LATER

[laughs]
