Okay, so Beth, if, if someone is looking for a counselor or a therapist, what questions should they ask before committing to sessions?

One thing I think, I think I'd say with questions is that, again, I, I talk about being the individual a lot, but it's about, kind of, the individual and what you are seeking.

So it's about looking at what the counselor offers as therapy.

So is it person-centered therapy where the client is the focus of that work? Is it something like CBT where there'll be lots of homework and worksheets and things to do? So a little bit of it is knowing what you're seeking and asking those questions.

And then from a understanding PDA, what is their under- understanding of PDA? And then what's their experience? Like I said at, at the beginning, just to differentiate between a CBD course and someone who really understands how to work with someone with PDA.

And then questions about the session.

So asking what happens if I turn up late to a session, how would that work? What happens if in the session as a client I'm really not ...

Beth, for PDA adults who might have had a negative experience with therapy in the past, how can they approach trying again with therapy? 'Cause that's, you know, I suppose there's gonna be a barrier straight away there, isn't there? Because there's a neg- that negative memory is there, so you're gonna make that anxiety even higher before you've got started.
