Bernard, how are you connected to Ward 2, and, and why does your ward need you?

Well, first of all, uh, as you know, one of our, uh, first responsibility as, um, uh, people running for council is to listen to residents, and this is what I have done for the last three months, listen to resident to understand what they need, what they need from council, and, uh, so they are very clear on this.

So why, um, why me? Well, first of all, the first thing that I did, one of the first thing that I did when I joined, uh, came here, moved to, uh, Bowmanville, is actually to join the Rotary Club.

I wanted to not only support the people that are in need in, uh, Clarington, but, uh, also understand what's going on in Clarington.

What are the needs, not just for the people that have a hard time, uh, making, uh, ends meet, but everybody else, and I did learn a lot from this.

And, um, so, um, one of the thing that, uh, I did is that being part of, uh, the Rotary Club was to, um...

They elected me to be the chair of fundraising, and two weeks after we did that, uh, or I accepted that, then, uh, we had to cancel Rib Fest in 2025 because of the, uh, um, the construction of the sports center on Baseline at the Clarington Fields.
