What do you see as the real estate angle to the World Cup?
1:51
Well, I think it's very important to build for the long term, so you have to consider the asset life, and therefore sustainable construction means a lot.
2:00
So, uh, for instance, we participated in some stadium, I think it's the Buffalo Bill Stadium in New York.
2:06
Uh, we participated a few years ago on the Olympic Village in Paris for the Olympic Games 2024.
2:14
And the idea from day one actually was also to convert this athlete village to dwellings and housing.
2:20
So I think on all those non-residential buildings, commercial buildings, infrastructure, you can think for the long term, you can make them sustainable, so better buildings that will last longer, and that will provide benefits also for the users.
2:36
Benefits, uh, it could be, you know, hotels around stadiums.

And what makes you most nervous about the future of global real estate?
22:53
How do you sort of think about that? How do you navigate that? I think
22:56
it has shifted away for some other industry sectors.
23:01
When you think of construction, as I said, and it's true in the U.S., Maybe we don't put on the top of the agenda the CO2 content, but sustainable construction will mean better construction.
23:13
So you will find an insurance in Florida for your roof.
23:17
You will have a better rent value if you are the owner of an office building.
23:23
You will attract, as I said, better teachers in the classroom if you care about their education system and therefore the acoustics of the classroom.
23:33
For us, and this is why I did put sustainable construction at the very core of the strategy of Saint-Gobain, we want to be everywhere the world leader on light and sustainable construction.
