Heath HodgesGUEST
Not about the destruction of AI, but about AI going rogue and whatever happens after that and how are we going to get back on top of it if that does happen.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
I think this is maybe a little bit cynical, but I think another important consideration is all these top AI founders and CEOs like Sam Altman or Dario coming out all at the same time and indicating that we need more regulation.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
I think there is actually more to that than them just being genuinely altruistic and concerned for humanity because they don't need regulations to be safer, right? They own the companies.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
Why do they need the government to help them? And so the reason that they're asking for regulations in part is if it is regulated, it actually benefits those companies in particular.

So it got me just wondering about, and I know you guys have some thoughts about this, just about, is there some disadvantage to vulnerable populations with the use of AI or how AI will be used or regulated within the context of forensic psychology?

And that is one of the cool things about AI, but also one of the pitfalls of especially when we're thinking about how could this apply to forensic practice or even the people that we're evaluating and how they're approaching their own AI usage when it comes to whatever case they have pending.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
Well, and to kind of add on to that, what part of the question was, how does it work? And that is an answer that's very challenging to provide.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
There's a lot of different ways to answer it, but I'll give sort of an initial part of it.

Benjamin SilberGUEST
If we're talking about like text output, for example, if we're looking at you, you ask it a question and it gives you a bunch of words in response.

Michelle GuytonHOST
So those platforms that you have, what do you use them for in a forensic context? And I think we can suss out later, you know, what are the more appropriate uses? What are the less appropriate uses? But like, what does one do with AI in forensic psychology?
