Now to start with, ECG attributes the outages in rising transformer failures, but isn't this ultimately a planning and maintenance issue rather than an unexpected technical problem? What does this say about asset management within the system?

What it simply says is that ECG over the years has poorly managed its assets.

It has poorly kept data on the assets.

And for that matter, it has become a failure in planning to mitigate some of these challenges we are experiencing today.

So it is not because they know the challenge to them for that matter, they make pronouncement on them.

It is a failure on their part historically to ensure that they plan adequately to mitigate or adapt to this recent scenario.

For example, when I was listening to the current MD, you could realize that ECG continues to rely on historical data in terms of their planning.

Is the problem primarily operational efficiency, funding gaps or a deeper structural issue within the power distribution sector?
