It was really cool.

yeah of course yeah so um i was lucky enough to be invited to uh essentially it was um uh two days of walks up red grouse shooting up in yorkshire um some of the best uh handlers in the country and um yeah a team of us walked up through uh through heather and moorland really hard going really really tough you know I'm still reasonably fit for my age and by the second day it didn't feel like they were my legs you know but they're fast birds it's one of those you know I think most people that shoot game in the UK that's on their bucket list to do and it was the first time I'd shot red grouse and we had two good days of shooting and they're completely wild so you know the area we were in won't be accessed or shot again and they're only ever shot if the counts for the birds suggest that there was a sufficient circuit so there's quite a lot of conservation involved I found the whole process really interesting down to the burning of the heather and the insects that they feed on and the You know, actually, if you're a wing shooter, that's the premier quarry, in my opinion.

They are fast.

Pheasants are fast, but they're a little bit faster.

Walk tough, they get up in front of you, and if they turn left or right, they are done.

And I hit a tupple.

I had some wonderful shooting.

So yeah, that's the plan really, isn't it? Just get the trials in.
