If you were to tell your own life story as a hero's journey, uh, how would you tell it?

So as you mentioned, I had had a really great childhood.

I was, uh, headed off as a 18-year-old to the University of Texas at Austin.

I was gonna study finance and liberal arts, and I had a great group of friends.

Everything seemed great, although unremarkable.

I did not feel like I was destined for any broader sense of meaning.

In fact, I figured I'd join the corporate world and, um, you know, maybe become a consultant or do other types of things.

There's a kind of twinkle in your eye, I can see, and I like it.

It gets me in a celebratory mood.

I knew when I found you and you had no shirt on, you were just cleaning up the office.

you learned about risk sharing, attracting capital, but also building the right partner ecosystem to execute at the scale that you guys need to execute at?

We like being positioned where we can have scale in the basin and that brings economies of scale around capital efficiency, operating costs, supply chain, kind of how you operate the asset.

We also like having the size to where if we would like to sell down a portion of it and share the capital burden with others, we can do that.

We came into Suriname, we owned 100% of Block 58 in Suriname.

We drilled our first exploration well, 100% risk on our own dollars.

before we brought Total in.

We chose to take a different path for Alaska.
