So as an administrator, what advice would you have for those, those parents and students?
13:56
Well, first I would say, you know, as a parent, as someone who's Jewish, like, it's not my place to say whether you pull your kid out for one day, two days, or three days.
14:07
Um, for my family growing up, if, if it was three school days, we're gonna miss three school days.
14:13
That's something that we've continued to do, uh, in my family.
14:16
But a lot of my peers, it might be one day of Rosh Hashanah, one day of Yom Kippur.
14:21
So it, it's not for me to say how many days to pull out, but I will say, again, back to like advocating for yourself and talking about what it means to be a Jewish person, and you may go to synagogue 100 times in a year, or you may just hit the high holidays.
14:39
When you miss school on those days, it makes a statement that it's important, right? So whether it's one day, two days, or three days, it lets your peers know that that's an important part of your identity.
