What is it that it's such a roller coaster season for the Argos? Yeah.

There's so many moving parts this year.

First of all, they're undefeated at home, but they've only played three home games.

So this will be their fourth home game of the season.

That has put a giant asterisk on this whole season because if the season had been a normal one where they've been playing home from the beginning, who knows? They might have nine wins right now.

We don't know how that would have worked out.

Playing the first seven games on the road, was really tough.

But you get into the second half, and Edmonton, that's where they've thoroughly dominated a lot of teams.

But you get into the second half, and Edmonton, that's where they've thoroughly dominated a lot of teams.

How significant is that loss for this offense? Are they well poised to sort of absorb the loss of one of their better receivers?

It, it, yes, but it is still a big loss.

Makai Polk's been playing great football.

He and Chad have a really good rapport with one another.

And Polk, I thought, I really felt like he was gonna be able to play this week.

He got banged up early in the game last week against Calgary, was able to tough it out throughout the game, but then really struggled in, in practice this week.

He was limited, and then they, they had him not practice altogether and eventually ruled him out.

How would you evaluate those areas halfway through the year, Ben?

Mm-hmm.

Uh, and, uh, that side was always gonna be good.

But the defense struggled early in the season, and that's what, what made the games so exciting, is that they could beat anybody, but you could also lose to anybody.

And what's started to change lately is the defense has started rounding into form, and I think a lot of it has to do with the, an addition they made at safety a couple weeks ago.

They brought in Bubba Bolden, who is an American safety, which is unusual in the CFL.

Almost every team fields a Canadian at that spot.

Uh, and he's been l- lights out since he got here, and a hard hitter, uh, loves to get in the way of traffic over the middle, and he seems to have brought a new energy to the defense.

All right, what can you say about Jonarrian Grant and the type of impact he's having, Ben?

Mm-hmm.

A- and, uh, that side was always gonna be good.

So you move on.

Clients are definitely more aware of what's going on in the States, Trump, things like this, inflation, fuel prices, because it's hard to get away from.

It's in the media, news articles, social media, your friends and family are always talking about it.

So it's sort of hard to... hard to not sort of think about it and you know that does potentially have a bit of an impact in you know what customers intend to do um and you know with that election that's another one to sort of throw in the ring as well so it's a pretty interesting sort of year you know when you add in all those contributing sort of factors um and probably has you know push people to sort of sit on their hands a little bit and potentially not want to make a big sort of financial decision at the moment in the sort of market that we're in and the sort of world sort of environment that we're in.

Just on the election, yeah, I think potential sort of investors might be a little bit wary whether there is a change of government that might bring in new legislation, the possible sort of interest deductibility.

There's a few sort of factors there that could make a big impact if there is a potential sort of change of government.

So it's a pretty rocky sort of environment that we're currently in at the moment.

Maybe this will be one of the things you can talk about, Ben, but I want to talk about some of the greatest challenges that advisors are facing today it wasn't that long ago where it was turnaround times at the banks i don't hear that quite as much and it's probably a sign of the market being quieter um but yeah what's the sort of biggest challenge for for you guys as advisors now operating in this environment this market um yeah for you

I don't know how you feel, Ben, but I think it's going to be incredibly competitive and I think there's going to be minimal points between the top five or six going into the last few weeks of the season.

I think the one thing for Clydebank for me is it'll be a different test for them next season.

They've been used to playing these teams.

They played last year.

They don't know enough about the West sides, but these teams are coming up to try and, you know, make an aim for themselves.

A lot of teams will probably be going for it, I would say, this year.

I think this is the year to really, you know, really try and challenge and make an attempt to get into League Two.
