... looked into this and realized, "Well, if I know the right answer, someone comes to me with a problem, and, and I can, I can give them the answer, and that's, that's, you know, I'll be a great leader and a great manager." But, um, you know, there's, there's such a huge shift in, in my mindset and, and, uh, perceptions as to what leadership is, um, a- after working on this.

And, um, it, it, it's, it, you know, it...

I thought, "Okay, well, i- if I work hard enough and, and, and gain enough knowledge, then, then I'll be fine." But, you know, it starts under- I, I start to understand that you have to understand yourself and have, you know, such self-awareness, um, before you can even try to lead anybody else or a team or, um, or, or create that, that culture within a membership, um, club as well.

So having gone through that, you know, and, and we can, we can talk about, uh, talk about that in a bit more detail, but, but bringing that into, into my working life, it's, it's helped with staff engagement, it's helped with, um, one-to-ones, uh, you know, appraisals.

My, the appraisals that I, I conduct with heads of department now are, are totally different to, to a few years ago.
