the plan was be bad for a star, and now it seems like, at least on paper, we got one.

Yeah.

And be bad for a star while, while also along the way accumulating a really interesting, um, young talent, and, like, a lot of it.

Like, all of a sudden you look around and it's sort of like, oh, there's gonna be a competition for minutes.

And oh, by the way, um, two really good veterans who, um ...

It, it, you know, it's not, uh, I, I'm, I, I'm very clear-eyed about the fact that this team won 17 games last year, and so it's like, yeah, they're, they're not gonna come in and win for a championship.

But all of a sudden they're gonna ha- they're gonna have a lot of good players, which they haven't had in an incredibly long time.

You know? So.

Ben, how does it feel to be here on Breakthrough News Live?

It feels great.

It's a historic moment for us.

It's the first show of Breakthrough News Live, but I think even bigger than the new show is this coming together of People's Dispatch and Breakthrough, which has been several months in development with Zoe co-hosting the show, but actually several years in development.

And so, v- you know, it's a huge day for Breakthrough, the idea that we're gonna have all the reporting, amazing analysis and investigation that people already know from People's Dispatch, coming together with Breakthrough, all of our videos, social media, documentary content.

It feels like we now have a true massive media institution, which is the thing we've always been trying to build.

I think, you know, we're talking a lot about the excitingness of this moment, but I also think maybe to ground us a little, Ben, if we can talk about, you know, I don't know, maybe what's changed since BreakThrough was launched, how did we get to this moment, you know, how have our projects been working in parallel, and how we're gonna work in the future.

Yeah, I mean, it's, it's actually been interesting because Zoe, you in particular, and the rest of the PD team, it's like we're, we, we have the same interests.
