they should have at least been watching what other sororities were doing so that there wasn't such a distinction between the two, you know, like there should have been some sort of like common ground where you guys could have posted some to not feel like you were restricted of all.
14:11
Right.
14:12
And it, it honestly made a lot of the girls hate our chapter.
14:15
A lot of the girls dropped just because the rules were so strict.
14:19
And then we had like, whole week of sober week where we every semester where we weren't allowed to drink or yeah during like rushing yeah and they were really strict with us and we always I was always getting in trouble I feel like I was kind of the leader and trying to get people to like not listen to the rules because I was thinking like if we all just like don't delete our photos with the red solo cups they can't do anything but no one would listen to me so they started you because I was I was posting with alcohol and I didn't even care and then you would get like a black square like a comment from exec which meant like you have to take this down and I just wouldn't take it down so they started banning me from social events like I couldn't go to socials or date parties um and I couldn't go to like any of the fun events um And they, at one point, like, started using my photos as, like, what not to do in chapter.
15:12
Like, they would put it on a screen of, like, Becca, you should have taken this down.

Yeah, I do still get DMs from people telling me that, and I always cannot believe it.
44:56
I'm like, oh my god, that's so insane.
30:22
Tell us what happened there.
30:25
So my senior year, I, like, wanted to go to this date party, and they were telling me I couldn't go, I think.
30:31
Or I think it was, like, formal.
30:33
It was like...
30:33
Oh, yeah, it was formal.
30:34

This is kind of reaching a fever pitch in many corners of North Texas and the state.
0:45
Yes.

And particularly this week, the big story is once again, Hood County, specifically the city of Granbury, where hundreds of residents signed a no confidence petition against the city manager and the city attorney.
0:57
They're basically upset about the city's handling of a proposed data center project called Project Patriot.
1:03
The long story short is that in January, the city annexed more than 2000 acres, saying that it had no plans for what this land was going to be used for.
1:11
And now a company that's based here in Dallas has proposed building a power generation plant as well as a data center there.
1:18
So a lot of residents are pushing back against that data center and power generation plant being built, one of which is Daniel Piat.

It's reserved for those rare circumstances when the public believes that its trust in city leadership has been fundamentally broken.
