So Bebe, what prompted you to write these zines? What made you decide, I'm going to wade into this discourse and talk about this subject that I'm probably going to get into a lot of trouble for talking about?

You know, it's funny.

I have been writing left-wing critiques of cancel culture in my zines for four years now.

And it took me that long to be ready to talk about this piece, to be ready to talk about how... my experience identifying as non-binary actually dovetailed.

If you look at the Venn diagram, for me, of the time at which I was the most indoctrinated into the identitarian worldview and the time during which I was very committed to the idea that I was non-binary, it's just a circle.

The Venn diagram is just a circle.

And I knew this, but it was funny to be like getting this.
