So our research focused on

whether urodynamics, more precisely urethral pressure profiles, could be used to evaluate the membranous urethral length as a predictor of post-prostatectomy incontinence.

So we know from MRI-based data that a shorter membranous urethral length is associated with a higher risk of post-prostatectomy incontinence, as well as slower continence recovery rates.

So we can measure the membranous urethral length with MRI, but we can also measure it with the urethral pressure profile, which is part of the urodynamics.

And so we wondered if this technique could provide comparable and clinically useful information.

So we compared the membranous urethral length of male patients who were referred for post-prostatectomy incontinence.

We compared that to the membranous urethral length of men who were referred for urinary urgency incontinence.
