I'm going to forge on or what was that process like

yeah i think i think you have to well you have to compartmentalize but in in every sphere and and i guess there has to be um um there's definitely a willingness to um not assume that you know more than you do and so one of the things that i think i i've learned the the more i've learned about music and and have been blessed by opportunities that certainly I don't merit on my own, but God has brought into my life, is the more I learn, the more I don't know.

And the more I read the Bible, the more I don't know.

And that drives me to want to learn more and to uncover some of those things Things that I ought to know or that I trust maybe one day in eternity we'll get to spend time doing for the glory of God.

But to that end, regardless of the musician I think that I'm working with, The person I'm hardest on is myself and I love to celebrate and rejoice with everybody else.

So whether that's a grade seven student learning a new instrument or somebody else who's pretty proficient, I recognize I have lots to learn and that person across from me can teach me a lot.

And my goal is I just love to have fun making music.

I'm excited about this.

How do you see it functioning?

Well, first, you know, we started off with HHA 31 in 2021, which was a study to see if we would be able to do some sort of data warehouse or collect all the data properly and be able to put it into one place and bring it out.

So we did that study.

Like I said, that was HHA 31 in 2021.

And then from there, we also looked at what other states were doing.

And a lot of other states were doing just a portion of the data, whether or not they were just collecting all the court data or another state was collecting all the Department of Corrections data.

So with the vision that I had, we created SB 11 in 2023.

Colleagues around the country listen to the podcast, and I wonder if they're interested in this area, where would you tell them to start? How should they start thinking about trying to collect this kind of data and put it into a format that they can use?
