What are you seeing out there?
22:18
Well...
22:21
Poaching, most people come to think of it as getting an animal and selling it.
22:25
But poaching is so many other various ways and by breaking the law.
22:31
And what I think myself personally is happening is that the lack of enforcement.
22:36
or not so much of the enforcement around.
22:39
And because, so I see something, a bird or a moose, and I think, well, it's questionable.

36:56
What's the latest on that?
72:21
Mm-hmm.
72:21
If you're not, if you're not picking the apples and using them for yourself, please consider picking them and donating them to either Sharing the Harvest or to a food bank in your neck of the woods.
72:29
Uh, it's just terrible to waste, see they're all on the ground.
72:33
Brian, I also, uh, this year teamed up with the Newfoundland Labrador Outfitter Association again, and we have do- and they have donated two deep, stand-up deep freezers to, um, Northeast Avalon and to Divine Mercy Food Bank, so that's great.
72:46
I'd also like to thank the Rotary Club of St. John's Northwest.
72:49
They've g- gave me a very generous donation, financial donation to operate again this year, so thank you to them.
72:55
And Brian, m- a bit of a criticism that's with the, uh, Department of, uh, Wildlife.
77:36
Okay.
64:00
Go right
64:01
ahead.
64:02
So I'm calling about the press release that the Food Fisheries Committee has issued earlier this week regarding the proposed extension for a seven-day fishing week for the 15-fish weekly limit for the month of August.
64:15
As we know, the food fishers on the south and west coast have already lost a lot of time already due to the weather, the high winds in that prime.
64:21
And they shouldn't stay ashore because of the risk that is to themselves if they happen to try to go out in this bad weather.
64:31
Each person who is of the appropriate age, whatever their age is, I don't know, is allocated 15 fish weekly as it stands now.
64:38
So there's already an allocation for the south and west coast.

72:34
And it's almost, it still is an afterthought despite the tragedies, the senseless tragedies that continue to haunt us.
73:41
That's for sure.
73:44
No, indeed it doesn't, Brian.
73:47
Next up, as you know, I'm the founder of the Sharing the Harvest program.
73:53
We're the group that buy and donate country food, moose, caribou, fish, berries, etc.
73:58
to food banks and senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
74:03
I'm implementing a fish donation day, Brian.
74:06
Starting this weekend, I'm asking fishers and the food fishery fighters' Facebook page, that's an awful, about what we're doing.
76:24
Absolutely.
78:38
Anytime,
78:38
Barry.
78:39
Yes, thank you.
78:40
I just want to touch base with you about the Food Fishery as this week comes to an end.
78:44
Yes, sir.
78:44
What has not come to an end, Brian, is the Food Fishery Fighters' resolve to ensure that all of our provinces' food fisheries are treated equally and fairly.
78:52
especially when it comes to safety on our waters.
