And how do we get shrub into libraries? Like what are we going to do once, once, once it starts getting published as a, as a beautiful, beautiful trade as, as fan base press does.
4:05
Yeah.
4:06
Well, thank you.
4:07
So, uh, for those unfamiliar shrub is our recent middle grade graphic medicine series.
4:13
Uh, it has a bit of a funny premise.
4:15
It is about a sentient shrub going on a cross country journey to Hollywood.
4:20
It is, in its mind, the only sentient shrub in the world until it sees a background actor sentient shrub on a TV series.
8:51
What sort of costs are we talking about? Where are these costs coming from for you? What are these big vendors asking of you that's making this cost prohibitive?
11:02
Yeah, I get it.
11:05
So along the way, this shrub meets a young grieving brother and sister who recently lost their dad.
11:12
And they go on a cross-country journey together.
11:16
And it's very much, it's equal parts Marcel the Shell with Shoes On and Pee Wee's Big Adventure in that it's at times really funny, but then it's also really deep and layered.
11:29
It is targeted to a middle grade audience, but it's also very accessible to all ages.
11:36
And what's really remarkable is that, like our series Ripple Effects, after each of the eight issues, there's an essay by a different individual, including Shane Portman, who is the writer and creator of the series.
11:48
He's an Emmy nominated writer who worked on Tumble Leaf and other children's animation shows.
13:39
love it.
