yeah hell yeah wonderful and then are you able to tell me a little bit about your writing process for this track

Bailey SpinnGUEST
yeah i love to collaborate with my producers and really get in there and see where i fit on the song and scott had been working on this one a little bit and he presented the idea to me and we went in and worked on all the lyrics together to you know make it personal to me and we listened to it and added all the ad-libs and stuff and he was willing to work with me vocally and try some new things out because I really wanted to fry scream and really get in there in the track and I am a notes app thinker all the time I have like a running list and I also have a notebook it depends on my mood so we kind of bounce back and forth and we're working on how the song sounds with my vocal on it and trying to figure out how to put those little elements into there

course um and then are you able to tell me your favorite lyric off the track and what it means to you

Bailey SpinnGUEST
Yeah, honestly, I love the entire chorus, but I love the pre-line, I don't want to say that I'm alone.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
That one just kind of hits home for me, even though it's not something that's never been said before.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
But it's really hard to admit sometimes... that you are alone and like being okay with being by yourself and not needing to rely on a partner or rely on somebody else's validation to feel like you're good enough or you're worth it and that's something I worked on a lot over the years so it's sometimes hard to say that you're alone and to let go of a person but it will you know suit you in the end and good things will come back your way

What are some social media tips you might have for the girlies wanting to go down that path?

Bailey SpinnGUEST
I think my number one is always like resilience and consistency because it consistency can be the easier part.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
Like once you get into a routine, I definitely think posting consistently, no matter what is what will keep you going.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
And it's really rough when you're maybe the algorithm is not pushing you and it can really be disheartening.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
And it's hard sometimes in like those instances to keep going, but there will always be like, a tomorrow for you to try a new video try something else like don't be afraid to pivot if something didn't do well for you you know add something different maybe try a new hook maybe make the video shorter you know engage with people in the comments like also use all of your platforms and assets the most that you can like you're not annoying anyone and if they're annoyed by you block them the algorithm will kind of shame you if you miss a day which really sucks it's not fair but um if you miss a day or miss two days like it will it always does that to me like it can be hard to bounce back again and it's kind of frustrating because you know I mean, some people do, I work every single day, but it's nice sometimes you want to take a breather too, you want to have, you know, go out, do something, get lunch, and you don't want to post, but yeah, you kind of have to be consistent.

yo by the way speaking of like i don't know what just reminded me of this but if you guys weren't aware bailey is an advocate of anti-bullying and is also a partner of the i think it's called the national eating disorder association um what made you want to get involved in in a cause like this

Bailey SpinnGUEST
I was bullied heavily growing up and I think people don't take the word bullying seriously anymore.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
And I really honestly struggled with, like, finding identity in music before that.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
And I'm from Virginia, and I would kinda just listen to, like, whatever was popular, and I would just, like, listen to whatever.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
And then I discovered rock music, and I had this, like, crazy playlist, and somebody else had made it.

Like stereotyping people that they just like don't listen to rock music 'cause they have blonde hair is kind of crazy.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
I got like a tongue piercing, a million tattoos, and I'm like, "Why would I do all of this- [laughs] ...

Tori KravitzHOST
Um, but I would love your take on that kind of indispensable perspective that women have in rock that you're also currently displaying.

Bailey SpinnGUEST
I think it's always great, and I would always connect with music made by women, 'cause I feel like women have a totally different experience in life and, like, all the time than a man does.
